We are looking for highly motivated R&D engineers with a PhD or MSc degree in Computer Science or a related field, with demonstrated experience to address emerging research and development areas in wireless sensor networks and inertial sensors. Good analytical and system design skills are essential. The candidate must be multi-disciplined, have good communication skills and trained documentation capabilities. Experience in C/C++ programming and various data analysis tools is a plus. Preference will be given to applicants with hands-on system building experience.

Responsibilities

• To conduct applied research in the field of wireless sensor networks, with a strong focus on motion sensing and real-time data processing,
• To design and develop new software modules and applications for motion data acquisition and processing,
• To actively participate in European and Dutch R&D projects.

We are looking for enthusiast people with experience in embedded systems and C/C++ programming that have at least a Bachelor’s degree in the field of Computer Science or Electrical Engineering. Knowledge in the fields of wireless communication, wireless sensor networks and inertial sensors represents a plus.

Responsibilities

• To design and implement new features and modules of the sensor node software stack, including low-level sensor drivers, real-time processing and wireless networking,
• To implement novel distributed algorithms for sensor data processing,
• To test the implemented software in laboratory and real-time settings.
