The Sestosenso YouTube channel was launched last month. The channel content gives insight and demonstrates the developed Sestosenso technologies and use case implementations:

  • Use Case 1 on factory automation with enhanced human-robot interaction;
  • Use Case 2 with dual-arm manipulation of heavy objects and usage of intelligent skin;
  • Use Case 3 with human-robot interaction in an agricultural scenario;
  • Demonstrations of innovative artificial skins (OptoSkin, ProxySkin);
  • Usage of Time of Flight (ToF) sensors for self-localization and scene estimation;
  • Gesture recognition based on ToF sensors;
  • Integration of ToF and IMU sensors in the exoskeleton.

The integration of ToF and IMU sensors on the exoskeleton uses the synchronized and real-time wireless communication technology developed by Inertia. The exoskeleton integrates 20 ToF sensors managed by 3 wireless devices, and part of the same high-speed wireless network as the ProMove-V IMU sensors.

As part of the Sestosenso YouTube channel, the videos below demonstrate the wireless ToF and IMU sensors integrated in exoskeleton for proximity detection and motion capture.
